Behavioral Round

- General introduction
- Programming language that you wish to explore further
- Name the values of Barclays
- Name the mindset of Barclays
- In which situation were you treated disrespectfully and how did you overcome that situation?
- You treated a person disrespectfully and the situation got serious and created great impact. How did you handle this situation?
- Among two values: Service and Excellence which one aligns with you and how could you say that?
- You needed to share a password of your system to your team members for doing some work related to your project. How did you share the password? (Labelling concept used in Barclays)
- You are a Team Leader and one of your team members is not doing any work. How did you make him/her work?
- You are a Team Leader and one team member is interested in delivering good output but unable to do it. How can you handle this situation?
- You are a Team Lead and one team member has different idea from your own. What can you do?
- You are a Team Lead. Two team members had a different idea for a project which was not accepted by others. But the idea was really good and had value. How did you handle this situation?
- You are working in Barclays. Your college junior is going to attend interview for Barclays. The junior is poor in studies and struggling. The recruiting team is close to you and you know the questions. How did you help the junior? Will you disclose the questions?
- Your manager assigned you a task which was not actually your work. It is the work assigned to the manager. What can you do?
- You delivered a product to the client. On checking, there was one module missed which is very important. Adding the new feature will take lot of time and manpower. How can you handle this situation?
Tips for Juniors
- Attempt to answer all questions even if you don't know the answer
- Go through all things mentioned in your resume thoroughly
- Get strong foundation in basic technical concepts (OOPS, DBMS, SQL Query)
- Gather information about the company: Values, Mindset, CEO at India, Reason for name, Meaning of the bird and name in the logo
- Try to answer behavioral questions which align with the values and mindset of Barclays
- Be prepared for extensive behavioral questions - 50 minutes is a long round
- Understand Barclays' security practices like 'Labelling' for password sharing
- Good questions to ask: interviewer's experience at Barclays, feedback about your performance
